""“GREAT HOTEL AND FRIENDLY STAFF”""
i was here with my friend in april 2015 for 2 nights. it was an excellent stay. The water in front of the hotel has crystal clear water and if you go further out, you can see corals while you snorkel.
no sand flies at paya beach resort.
I stayed in a small room with a balcony. There is a clothes rack on the balcony for you to dry your wet clothes.
there are many warungs/food kedai outside the hotel, if you want to try food outside the hotel. prices are reasonable and in my opinion, they don't overcharge unlike in phuket.
The manager was very professional and friendly. he took great pains in making sure that guests are well looked after (in fact, he went beyond his call of duty to take care of guests irrespective of who they are).
breakfast , lunch and dinner (i was on a package) were buffet style. kitchen took efforts to fill up the food trays when the food almost ran out. food is ok for a hotel of this standard (no complains)tiramisu2829

""WORTH THE $""
When you get off Paya Jetty, the resort is literally just a 5 minutes walk. There are plenty of souvenior shops and eateries 2 minutes walk from the resort. The resort seafood restaurant is located outside with a view of the beach which is a plus point. There's pool tables with a view of the beach as well which is a nice place to chill with your friends. They also have a booth near their reception to help you sort with water activities etc. It's all conveniently near each other. We booked 1 standard lodge and 1 standard chalet. Standard lodge is a bit squeezy as there are two bunk beds. It also has an old tv. The chalet is better. It's more spacious with a very clean toilet. The tv is of newer model as well. There was no wifi at all (but I didn't care about that). Good resort. Worth the $.Norshakila M.

""COMPANY TRIP""
Read a lot reviews of this resort before went there. A lot of negative reviews but after we reached there, we found that those reviews are not truth. All staffs there are very friendly and helpful. Exspecially the reception staff name Lily. She gave us a very positive view of the resort. She is kind and very good atitude. We stayed in Lodge room. The cheapest n comfort room in the resort. Cleanness is up to 3-star resort standard. Hardly to complaints with such a good room services staffs taking care there. The environment of this resort is clean. Will definately stay on my next trip to tioman. Highly recommended.Bryan P

"A relaxing trip at Paya Beach Resort =)"
During the Hari Raya holiday, my friends and I had planned for a 4D3N short escape to the Tioman Island. We had chose to stay in Paya Beach Resort. We stay in the superior room with partial seaview which are reserved through the Discovery tour. It's a clean and cozy accommodation. The resort are very close to the seaside which is very convenient for us to go snorkeling at anytime. Besides that , we had tried the classic massage at the SPA of the resort. The massage is relaxing and they have a very comfortable massage room which we think it's really worth the price and the staff are very friendly. We can easily reach for foods and duty free shop from our room. Overall, we are satisfied with the stay and we will definitely go back to this resort in the future." "Paya Beach Resort with parent & my family"
My 2nd time stay at Paya Beach Resort. Is nice to relax & convenience for elderly ppl to travel there. My first trip stay at Paya Beach Resort 3 days 2 nite, I bring my parent (age 68) and my two boys (age 18 to 20). We do snorkeling and island hopping together. The ppl very nice and friendly. My parent and my boys got good view from they Chalets. Me stay at Dulex room with nice bath tub juzz in the room. The breakfast service just average. The feeling staying Paya Beach Resort like kampong style.
My 2nd trip stay at Paya Beach Resort 4 days 3 nite, My two boys taking basic diving course and we go day fishing and bring back with alot fishes. We ask the restaurant to cook the fish. My family love the beach and beautiful view morning and night. Never feel regret staying at Paya Beach Resort. The ferry timing not so good. very late afternoon like 2PM( I suggesting ferry should be at 10AM after we check out) so we do not wast our time sit & wait until 2PM.Hanan A

"Wonderful Getaway"
I visited Paya beach resort and stayed at the superior room with my mother for a long weeknd break. It has a wonderfull small village kinda feel- exquisite waters around with one of the best sealife I have seen. Their beach has so many wonderful fishes. The stay was wonderful and their are different options for each type of person. While I went out on a all day snorkelling trip, my mom relaxed at the serene beach and enjoyed a wonderful spa day. Their spa is pretty amazing. The dinner time has wonderful lobsters. If u donot like seafood, u may enjoy local malaysian food. It was beautiful time by the sea. If you wanna relax- this is the place! It was a memorable trip - just as we wanted!Shayanti M

"Amazing weekend escapade!!"
Getting away from Singapore and spending a weekend at Paya Beach resort was perfect escape from the busy life. Friendly staff and awesome food. We stayed one night in Standard room and another Superior room. For the price they were really comfortable. Although, we did find some mosquitoes but no in the superior room. One minus point is the breakfast. Was way better when I visited back in 2010.
Great place for diving, snorkelling and trekking. Check out the jungle behind the resort and the little water fall nestled behind. Grab your friends and some beer and hours will pass in a blink of eye. Spend the evening by the beach and enjoying the cocktails or the chicken satay.
Recommend to anyone visiting Tioman.PrasantaMandal

"Beautiful place to spend a relaxing vacation"
I and my hubby spent 3d2n very recently and over all it was a good experience inside the resort.
Rooms were good but little old.Room service was definitely good and breakfast was superb! We also enjoyed the exotic dinner over there however, the two small restaurants outside the hotel are much more cheaper and provide pretty good food.
What I liked most was the position of the resort. You will get an amazing view of blue sea at one side and the other side will give you a really superb view of green hills, covered by rain forest. We were lucky enough when we woke up, opened the door and saw cute clouds hovering over the hills.
Only complain is about the free snorkeling trip, provided by the resort. It's real risky! The boatman will leave you on a platform near to Rengis island and then will go back. No one will be there to watch/ guide you. And to your utter surprise you find that the platform is placed where the current is too strong! Even if you know swimming you have to struggle a lot and if you don't know swimming then forget it! We had a pretty tough time even when we know swimming. The other day, we went to the same place as part of a package snorkeling which also covers Coral island. That group was so professional. Always they will wait around you and guide you. Around that same Rengis island they also stopped but we enjoyed that trip so smoothly!MG G

"Spectacular place that i am in love with"
I came here with my parner for a romantic one week getaway. We stayed here for the entire time and did not venture to the city as everything you could possibly need was there. The room was spacious and clean. The only downside was that the tv was ancient but who cares about that when i am holidaying on an island!
There are water sports available, a health spa and nature tours of the jungle. The pool was amazing with a poolside bar and enough fun for the kids as there were slides.
The beach was quite secluded which was nice. There were sun bed and umbrellas for maximun relaxation. In the night there was a bar with a stage on the beach which was entertaining and romantic. We actually caught a wedding there of a norwegian couple. If you are on a tight budget you can even bring your own drinks on the beach and no one will bother you.
The room service was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The restaurant had various cuisines also very well peiced and delicious for the western and asian customer.ivana-banana
