"“Awesome place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life”"
My husband and I stayed in this resort in the first week of May 2016 and celebrated our first wedding anniversary. the chalets are right by the beach and has got lovey view. Apart from the serene and clean beach, there are baby pool, kiddy pool with slides and adult pool. all the buildings are made of wood and adds to the beauty of the place. the resort has a badminton/tennis court, golf course, pool bar and traditional authentic restaurants. we spent an amazing time there, in the lap of nature with absolutely no interruptions of phone or laptops. they have a very elaborate spread of buffet breakfast and dinner. The buffet lunch was not very impressive. Scuba diving, snorkeling and kayaking gears are available on request. Overall, had a wonderful stay.Sushma Vijayan N

"“Love this place!”"
Tioman - LOVELY ISLAND! Worth the 10 hour travel (flew from HKG, 4 hours / drove 4 hours & stayed overnight in Mersing / 2 hours of ferry from Mersing to Tioman). Suitcases aren't the best to travel with - but possible. The island is lovely. You arrive early morning, and this open coach (similar to safari rides) bring you to the resort. They check you in, and I guess they expect you to be there early, there isn't the need to NOT have a room yet. Breakfast is available (not included in first day upon arrival), but really, the beach/sea is lovely. Way more worth it than the pool! Rent a kayak with snorkels and go to the floating dock and spend 2-3 hours doing nothing. Look at fish, float at the sea. The discovery dive on the island is worth it too - 250ringit inclusive of equipment & training. I dived for about 45 minutes and my friend said it's a lot more time compared to the discovery dive in Phuket (no idea).
One thing I didn't like was the restaurant - not a fan of it. Everything seemed too saucy. And ofcourse, I would think there's nothing to eat! So we went to the gate and got a moped (20-30 ringit) and went 'downtown', which is really just where you arrived from in the morning. The restaurant on the beach at the gate, serves LOVELY Chinese seafood. We ate there around 4 times, but I forgot the name... it was very cheap. Do not go to the malay/Chinese restaurant that the private taxi drivers tell you to go - rip off, and not worth the taste.
There's a waterfall reachable by 20 minutes drive, but be prepared to be car sick! The waterfall's quite small, but lovely. Lovely and refreshing dip in the morning. We got the private taxi at the gate to get us there at 100ringit (the one at the hotel costs 300 ringit).
Giftshop on the island (surpass the pier) is a good place to get your souvenirs. Tshirts there are half the price compared to what's sold on the premises.
Overall, a very good stay - just wished the food at the restaurant had less sauce :)
Room Tip: There are 4 'standard suites' (cheapest room types) on the beach side... I wish i booked tha...

"“Amazing Place”"
We went there for a quiet getaway.
Booked the deluxe room right in front of the beach.
Check in and check out was very fast.
They picked us/dropped us at the tekek ferry.
The beach s beautiful. Peaceful.
Loved the pool.
The resort I think is old, so some of the furniture and switches are old. We had minor glitches, when raised the housekeeping solved it immideatly.
Great service.
We had lunch from the room service menu- disappointed
Buffet breakfast was great.
We had a buffet dinner too, I wasn't that impressed.
Overall a beautiful hotel, amazing beach! Perfect for couples/friends/family looking for a quiet getaway!Shyamala_shenoy

"“Comfortable stay with great views”"
we stayed at the deluxe room facing the breathtaking sea view. the room was comfortable and cosy with a Malay design traditional house. however, the quality of food served at the Nelayan restaurant could be improved further as it was not really meeting a 4 star resort. getting to the hotel from the jetty was smooth as there were shuttle services provided. overall i would come back to the hotel again.Hafiz-Adam

"Berjaya Resort Tioman Island"
Great location and super friendly staff. On site restaurants provided very reasonably priced meals that were varied and good quality. Played the golf course which was just great. Check in was slow but probably due to guests all arriving on the one flight and limited ferries every day. Check out was speedy and friendly.

"go there for atmosphere not accommodation"
You shouldn't be over-expected. In Tioman no luxury accommodation is waiting for but the most beautiful beach and rain forest. At buffet restaurant is great, Berjaya Atmosphere is fabulous, pool is good enough bad rooms are average and rooms srevice was not good at all. But I assure you, you can not find better place than Berjaya in Tioman Island.

"Holiday resort!"
Arrived via Berjaya Air to Tioman, jumped onto the resort pick-up waiting at the airport.
15mins ride to resort. Checked in and had the welcome drink (standard fruit punch).
Concierge will send you to your room by van.
Nice room. A bit old fashioned but good enough. Bed a bit too soft for my liking.
Hot water can be very hot... And erratic!
Food at the restaurants are expensive but just take a walk out of the resort and you'll find a Chinese and Malay restaurant at much more reasonable prices. Food is great at both shops!
Nothing much to do except beach and sea. But that's why we went to Tioman anyways! Private strip of sandy beach was very nice.
Went diving with the resort as well. Pulau Renggis did not have good visibility that afternoon, but saw a couple of sea turtles!
Can also play golf and rent everything - clubs and shoes too! Very narrow course. Buggy only - self-drive, no caddy.
Checked out at 2pm and got onto the resort bus to airport.
It was Ramadan month, so local food was abundant just outside airport.
Good resort for R&R!BudakKepong
